Jika bahan makanan yang mengandung asam folat dicuci, maka asam folatnya akan hilang terbawa oleh air. Maka itu juga tidak jarang ditemukan orang yang kekurangan Vitamin B9. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk mengkonsumsi sayuran yang mengandung asam folat dalam bentuk mentah seperti dijadikan salad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Asam folat mudah ditemukan di berbagai jenis makanan. Sayur-sayuran berwarna hijau, seperti bayam, kacang panjang, brokoli, kembang kol, dan selada. Kacang-kacangan, seperti kacang polong dan biji bunga matahari. Buah-buahan, misalnya melon, pisang, alpukat, dan lemon. Makanan yang diperkaya folat lainnya, seperti roti dan sereal. Hati sapi dan ayam. Ikan dan telur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Nah, bagi ibu hamil asam folat ini sangat dibutuhkan untuk membantu pembentukan sel-sel dan sistem organ pada janin seperti otak, sumsum tulang belakang, pembentukan sel darah merah, dan menjaga daya tahan tubuh. Asam folat yang tidak tercukupi pada ibu hamil bisa menyebabkan keguguran janin, persalinan prematur, plasenta lepas sebelum waktunya, serta gangguan sesak napas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Oleh karena itu, Asam folat sangat penting untuk berbagai fungsi tubuh mulai dari sintesis nukleotid ke remetilasi homosistein, terutama pada period pembelahan dan pertumbuhan sel.
